Sir Tom Jones's final four contestants spoke to What's On TV about what it's like to work with the multi-award-winning performer as they prepare to take to the stage tomorrow night.
Sir Tom Jones’s final four contestants revealed their mentor is so down-to-Earth he feels like their friend.
Craig Ward said: “When I talk to him he knows exactly what I need to hear. He’s been great.”
Into the Ark’s Taylor said: “Tom is awesome, he kind of just settles us. If we’ve got any queries or if we’re feeling uncomfortable he’s the first person to catch on to that.”
Dane said: “He seems like the only human one there that you can reach out to.”
Nadine McGhee said: “He’s just a normal person. He looks after us and does the best he can for us. He doesn’t seem like this massive big legend, but he is. He’s so lovely and down-to-earth, and he’s funny as well.”
Craig said: “You want to make him proud. You want to do a good job for Team Tom.”
Into The Ark revealed they have a pre-show ritual that they do to prepare them for facing the judges. Dane said: “We have a thing called the power stance. It takes all the tension out of your body.”
Nadine said: “I like to power walk around back stage, because my legs are so jelly.”
Craig said: “I just try to remember what the song means to me.”
The Voice quarter-final is on tomorrow night at 8:30pm on ITV1.
