It’s not the first time the show has been graced by a member of the royal family…
Strictly Come Dancing had a surprise visit from royalty on Saturday night after Lady Kitty Spencer was spotted in the audience.
The niece of Princess Diana was sat front row next to Cheryl to cheer on her close friend Viscountess Emma Weymouth and her pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec.
She even begged her followers on Instagram to vote for the couple following their performance: “Please vote for @emmaweymouth on @BBCStrictly in the next 20 mins!!” she pleaded.
Lady Kitty and Emma have been friends for years and often holiday together. In June they enjoyed a lavish trip to St Tropez and even wore matching flowery outfits by fashion brand Dolce & Gabanna, who they both model for.
It seems maybe Kitty may have been a good luck charm for Emma as she scored her highest score to date for her Viennese Waltz, earning 36 points from the judges which landed her joint second place on the leaderboard.
Her top spot was stolen by Saffron Barker and AJ Pritchard who swooped first place at the end of the show after earning 38 points – with two 10s – for their Foxtrot.
This isn’t the first time Strictly has had royalty in the audience. Last year, Sophie, Countess of Wessex and her daughter Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor were spotted by fans in the live audience.
The royal mother, 53, – who’s wife of Prince Edward – and her 15-year-old daughter were seen cheering enthusiastically and clapping along with huge smiles across their faces.
And fans rushed to Twitter to gush over the unexpected appearance, as one wrote,:“Love that royalty are in the #Strictly audience tonight #StrictlyComeDancing #strictly2018.”
While a second asked, “Hang on a minute. Was that royalty in the #strictly audience?”
