The BBC’s gripping adaptation of John Le Carre’s The Night Manager reached its finale on Sunday evening after a tense ride of murder, WMD displays and Tom Hiddleston’s bare bottom.
The six-part series has drawn acclaim from critics and the public — causing a weekly Sunday night meltdown on social media and a smash on the weekly ratings, with more than eight million viewers.

Lots of fans were really sad about the show ending.

Tom Hiddleston is a fine, fine speciman of a man. I’m going to miss those shirts and cheekbones on a Sunday night #TheNightManager

Night Manager is awesome – don’t want it to end. We need to remake more Le Carre to sell across the world #NightManager

But sadder still at the realisation that Tom won’t be gracing their screens each week.

His fans now want him to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.
Tom Hiddleston would make such a good James Bond #TheNightManager

I’ve not enjoyed a program as much as #thenightmanager in years. Cracking TV. If Hiddleston hasn’t shown how he can be Bond he never will.

And the star even ordered a vodka Martini in the season finale.
Vodka Martini please. Tom Hiddlestone continues his Bond audition #TheNightManager

So Tom Hiddleston’s Bond audition is over – he even managed to order a vodka martini in #TheNightManager finale. Brilliant stuff @BBCOne

Using it as an audition, eh, Tom?
