Could Dean Thompson be heading back to prison?
There’s drama in Home and Away as Dean Thompson lets his rift with sister Mackenzie Booth jeopardise his future freedom…
Ever since Ben’s Boards was shut down by the police thanks to Ben Astoni being framed for drug smuggling, Dean has found himself out of a job.
But while it doesn’t usually take many people long to find employment in Summer Bay, things are a bit different for someone who has got a criminal record like Dean.
The only problem is, one of the requirements for his probation is that he is in full time employment… meaning Dean needs to find a job soon otherwise he is heading back to jail.
Ziggy Astoni is desperate for her boyfriend to find a job, but after a fruitless search online, the mechanic comes up with the idea to ask Alf if he has any vacancies at the bait shop.
Unfortunately for Dean Alf can’t help, and getting a job isn’t the only challenge Dean is facing at the moment.
After catching the pair in bed together, Dean’s already fractured relationship with his new-found sibling was left in tatters.
Mackenzie isn’t giving up on her brother that easily though and tries to reach out to him… but he’s having none of it and even turns down her offer of shouting him dinner.
But Ziggy then comes up with the idea to kill two birds with one stone and goes to see Mackenzie with a proposition.
Ziggy thinks that Mackenzie should offer Dean a job at Salt, meaning he would have a job and avoid jail, but also that the siblings would be forced to spend more time together and hopefully reconcile.
Mackenzie is willing to give Ziggy’s idea a try… but when she heads to Dean’s caravan to offer him a job, he’s not impressed.
Dean turns his sister’s offer down instantly, telling her that he can’t trust her and so why would he want to work with her.
But could his stubbornness mean he is heading back to prison?
