Kim has had plenty of Christmas drama before...
Emmerdale boss Kate Oates has revealed that Kim Tate will take centre stage this Christmas.
The Emmerdale chief said that we can expect “explosive revelations” as lots of secrets will emerge on Christmas Day in the ITV soap.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Kate said: “We have a few tricks up our sleeves with some twists and turns! On Christmas Day, a lot of secrets will be unpacked, and families thrown into disarray.
“People think they get the Christmas they wanted – but it might not turn out that way. It’s very family-centric, big on drama with explosive revelations, relationships unravelling and people getting together. There is a lot going on!”
When pressed for a bit more info, Kate then revealed how Kim Tate will be right in the middle of the action.
“We have a lot going on with the Dingles – and Home Farm is one that you should keep your eye on. You can’t have Kim Tate as the mother of that big house without drama!”.
Kim of course has been at the centre of many dramatic Christmas plots before in Emmerdale. Back in 1992, her affair with dashing stockbroker Neil was exposed on Christmas Day, resulting in her husband Frank booting her out.
And famously in 1996, her lover Dave Glover was killed in a fire saving her baby son James from a fire at Home Farm.
We wonder what’s in store for Kim in Emmerdale this Christmas…
