Alison King says the scenes are 'so emotional'
Coronation Street actress Alison King has spoken about the moment Carla Connor ‘sees’ Aidan again.
The broken factory boss has been consumed by guilt ever since the roof collapse, which caused Rana’s tragic death.
Next week Carla’s mental health will collapse after she’s questioned about the incident and, on Friday 31st May, a special episode will be shown through her eyes.
It sees a heartbroken Peter finding Carla at the top of the Victoria Street fire escape and talking to her late loved ones, including Aidan (Shayne Ward), who took his own life last year.
Talking about that massive moment, Alison said: “The scenes on the fire escape are so emotional. She thinks she sees Aidan. To her it is real.”
Peter is determined to get Carla – who Corrie has revealed is no longer a suspect for the roof collapse – the help she needs, but can he save her before it’s too late?
“She is in a very dangerous predicament and unrecognisable to Peter, who is desperate to rescue her,” adds Alison, who first joined Corrie back in 2004.
During the dramatic scenes next Friday, Carla will also think she’s talking to her friend Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh) and poor Rana.
Coronation Street next week will be on at the later time of 9pm.
