Sinead reportedly to be given terminal diagnosis
Sinead Tinker will die after losing her fight against cancer in Coronation Street, it’s been reported.
The Sun claim that Sinead, played by Katie McGlynn, will be given a terminal diagnosis and told she must choose where she wants to die.
It’s a cruel twist given that Sinead has only just been told that her treatment for cervical cancer has been working.
During a visit to Weatherfield hospital with boyfriend Daniel Osbourne, she was given the wonderful news that the tumour had shrunk and there was no sign of it spreading.
Katie, though, has spoken about how Sinead will always live in fear that the cancer could one day return. “She knows that this will never really leave her,” she said.
And, now it appears that tragic Sinead will be leaving behind baby Bertie and Daniel.
A source told The Sun: “From her two rocky relationships to the mini-bus crash, she’s been in some of Corrie’s most captivating storylines.
“And producers will be sad to see Katie leave the soap, but she will make an unforgettable departure which is set to leave viewers in tears.”
The question now is how will Daniel cope without Sinead? Rob Mallard, who plays Daniel, once said that Sinead was “100 per cent the woman” for Daniel. And how will he get on with being a dad to little Bertie by himself?
Coronation Street continues on ITV.
