Casualty CANCELLED this Saturday – here’s why it’s not on!

David is just ringing round the news that Casualty isn't on!

Casualty fans this Saturday tuning in for the latest action will instead find themselves watching the Last Night of the Proms.

Yep, the BBC has cleared Casualty from its schedule to make way for the classical musical celebration from the Royal Albert Hall.

Earlier this year Casualty suffered another music horror when it had to make way for the Eurovision Song Contest.

The long-running hospital favourite is usually a Saturday night fixture, however, this Saturday’s BBC1 schedule looks like this:

7.00pm Strictly: The Professionals

8.15pm Pointless Celebrities

9pm Last Night of the Proms

10pm BBC News

And fans were left furious back in early summer when it was moved at the last minute due to Wimbledon as a mixed doubles match involving Andy Murray and Serena Williams ran over. The BBC did reschedule the episode, so fans could catch up on what was going on.

Holby City has also been moved about in the schedules this year

Casualty hasn’t been the only big show on the Beeb to have been moved this year. Both Holby City and Wimbledon have been jiggled about in the schedules due to various sporting events.

But the BBC has revealed Casualty will go back to normal the following week. So the next episode will go out on BBC1 on Saturday 21st September at 9.20pm.
