Long Lost Family

How tragedy and trauma shaped this week's searchers…

Susan, 70, had an idyllic childhood, but all that changed when her brother David was killed in a road accident. Soon after that, Susan got pregnant, but decided she couldn’t bring any more distress on her grieving parents so gave the child up for adoption. For six months she visited baby Samantha until she was officially adopted. Susan went on to have twin girls, but has never forgotten her eldest child and longs to be reunited with her. The second story is another tear-jerker, about 51-year-old Sonia, who was abandoned at the age of just three. Why did her mother walk away? Sonia is desperate to understand more about her mum, but this one is tricky even for the LLF experts.
