Marilyn and John return from Germany with their soldier son Jett. But there's terrible news when Jett is revealed to be paralysed from the waist down...
John Palmer and Marilyn Chambers were both nervous about their soldier son Jett going to Afghanistan. But now their worst fears have come true, after he was injured in an explosion at his army base.
After flying off to Germany, where Jett was relocated to a military hospital for emergency surgery, Marilyn and John arrive back in Summer Bay with Jett, who is placed under Dr Tori Morgan’s care at the hospital.
But there’s more bad news in store when Tori carries out further hospital tests and has to break the news to Jett that his spinal injury is permanent and won’t repair.
As John and Marilyn reel from the news, Jett refuses to accept he is now permanently paralysed from the waist down and may never walk again…
Elsewhere in Summer Bay, Raffy Morrison feels confident about her maths exam after secretly taking an extra dose of the cannabis oil without telling her medical student brother, Mason Morgan.
However, soon after Raffy arrives at school, her boyfriend Ryder Jackson is alarmed when the teenager suddenly becomes very unwell, feeling queasy and dizzy.
