Ste Hay's blood is boiling when he learns the reason behind his daughter's drama assessment being cancelled at the last minute
Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) struggles to contain his anger when he learns from his daughter Leah Barnes (Jessica Croft-Lane), that the drama assessment she’s spent months rehearsing and practicing for, has been called off at school in order for a special school assembly to take place.
Head teacher Sally has taken the decision to cancel the drama assessment at the last minute, so that the entire school can have an assembly with Prevent – the government strategy organisation aimed at reducing the threat of terrorism.
Ste immediately blames Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana), who has been on the receiving end of racist taunts, for prompting the unscheduled assembly.
Meanwhile Farrah Maalik (Krupa Pattani) has been wavering over whether to take her dream job in Canada especially in the wake of her girlfriend Grace’s serious accident. When Grace suspects that Farrah is only sticking around in Chester to help her, she decides the two of them need to have a proper talk.
Grace’s words leave Farrah distraught but the Maalik family is soon on her case and encouraging her to do as she previously planned, and leave for Canada. Will Farrah go?
Plus Jack Osborne tells Kyle Kelly (Adam Rickitt) he saw Nancy (Jessica Fox) and Laurie (Kyle Pryor) out together.
A worried Kyle tells Nancy to steer well clear of the manipulative deputy head teacher.
However when he later spots the two of them out for lunch, Nancy is forced to come clean and tell Kyle that she is secretly hoping to record a confession from Laurie and get him to admit his crimes against Sienna and Sinead. That is the ONLY reason she’s sucking up to him!
