The heat is on Liam Donovan as the police search for suspects who may have shot Mercedes McQueen. Did Liam really shoot his ex-lover?
Liam, who viewers have seen enjoy a passionate affair with Mercedes for the past five months, was horrified when he find out he’d been betrayed yet again by the headstrong McQueen. But was he the one to pull the trigger and take aim at Mercedes in the The Loft?
As the cops swoop in and begin their questioning, Liam tells the police he was ‘out and about’ at the time of the shooting which happened at close range in the club.
Meanwhile Mercedes husband Sylver McQueen (David Tag) is also a suspect, as is Grace Black (Tamara Wall). Can the pair of them explain their whereabouts at the time of the shooting?
And what about vicar, Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas Speed) who has a decidedly dodgy past? He also had a motive for killing Mercedes after he found her confession and was subsequently brutally beaten up and his life threatened.
Goldie is sure her man wouldn’t have been the one to pull the trigger but she starts to have serious doubts when Joel starts acting shiftily and gets his alibis mixed up!
Elsewhere, far right activists Stuart Sumner (Chris Simmons) and Jonny Baxter (Ray Quinn) are showing that they have very little respect for Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) when he tries to help around the house. Leela Lomax (Kirsty Leigh Porter) storms into the kitchen and warns them that everyone is keeping a very close eye on them while Ste manages to throw a secret note over the fence to the Maalik’s. What does it say?
Plus Sami Maalik is continuing with preparations for his wedding to Sinead (Stephanie Davis) but is his enthusiasm starting to dwindle?
