Goldie McQueen decides to play match-maker but how will Marnie react when she sets her up on a blind date?
Goldie McQueen (Chelsee Healey) attempts to play Cupid and sets Walter Deveraux (Trevor A Toussaint) up on a date with Marnie Nightingale (Lysette Anthony).
Goldie has been aware that Walter has been down in the dumps and in an attempt to cheer him up and also get him to warm to the idea of his grandson Mitchell dating Cleo McQueen (Nadine Rose Mulkerrin), she decides he needs a bit of fun in his life.
Goldie then tells Marnie she has found the man for her and sets the pair of them up on a blind date but how will Marnie react when her date arrives and she sees it’s Walter? Are sparks about to fly or will the whole thing be an embarrassing non-starter?
Meanwhile Goldie is putting up posters to promote Lily’s fundraising night at The Dog. Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adedeji) sees the posters and thinks that maybe it would a good opportunity for Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) to perform there and it might lift his spirits.
Elsewhere Sally St Claire (Annie Wallace) confronts Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) about her boyfriend, Brody, abducting Laurie. Sienna can’t control her anger and there are soon unfortunate consequences.
Later on Sinead, who’s also reeling from her husband’s recent behavior, tells Laurie that Misbah has selected her for a residential training course which will mean she has to spend a few weeks away from home. How will Laurie react to the news that Sinead will be out of town?
Plus Jonny, Peri and Ste order a takeway but unbeknownst to Ste the delivery man is Shahid, the man who Jonny and his far-right group recently attacked at the football match.
When Shahid recognises Jonny in the background, he’s simmering but what is he going to do about it?
