When a broke Maxine Minniver comes looking for a job, Nana McQueen gives her a piece of her mind and sends her packing!
Maxine who duped friends and family and frittered away all the charity money they raised for her ‘terminal illness’ realises she needs to get a job…and fast.
When Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) reveals that they’re short-staffed at The Dog, a hopeful Maxine turns up to give her CV to Nana McQueen (Diane Langton). However a furious Nana is outraged that Maxine has even dared to show her face after what she did to her fiancé Damon Kinsella (Jacob Roberts) who was recently arrested for fraud.
Nana turfs Maxine out of the pub but Cleo can’t help feeling sorry for her and later takes her to see Walter Deveraux (Trevor A Toussaint) to see if he can give her a trial shift at Price Slice.
Elsewhere there’s fresh drama in the Nightingale household after James (Gregory Finnegan) was seen teetering on the edge of an archway in yesterday’s episode, about to hurl himself off. Is there more heartache for the family?
Meanwhile concerned carers and parents Nancy, Mandy, Darren and Luke are worried that teens Brooke Hathaway (Talia Grant) and Ollie Morgan (Aedan Duckworth) don’t seem to be taking Brooke’s pregnancy seriously.
They summon the pair to the Osborne’s house where the adults try and discuss other options such as adoption.
Ollie is adamant he’s ready to be a dad but it’s clear that Brooke is struggling with the whole idea of parenthood.
She later confides in Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) who was a teenage dad himself. Tom explains what it was like becoming a parent to Steph when he was still at school and how it made him feel.
Will Tom’s words encourage Brooke or has she already decided she’s too young to raise a child?
