Sami Maalik and Ste Hay go head to head as tensions flare over Sami's engagement to Sinead O'Connor. Is an all out fight about to break out?
The rift between Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and Sinead O’Connor (Stephanie Davies) in Hollyoaks intensifies when Sami Maalik gets involved.
Racist Ste has made it clear he strongly disapproves of Sinead getting engaged to his arch-enemy, Sami (Rishi Nair), and is furious when as result of the fallout, Sinead bans him from seeing his own daughter, Hannah.
As tensions flare, Ste and Sami get into a heated row ahead of the engagement party which is being held at The Loft.
When Sinead discovers the two men have gone head to head, she’s initially angry with Sami and tells him he’s sunk to Ste’s level but she feels guilty when Sami explains exactly what he’s had to put up with his whole life and the racist taunts that have dogged him.
As the engagement party gets underway and with the guests having a great time, Mitchell Deveraux (Imran Adams) can’t help laughing at his girlfriend Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) when he sees what a terrible dancer she is, and secretly exchanges a knowing look with Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) who he recently kissed.
Meanwhile everyone is unaware that Far Right activists Jonny Baxter (Ray Quinn) and Stuart Sumner (Chris Simmons) are masterminding their latest attack. However the racist duo don’t realise they’re being followed by plain clothes police officers.
What exactly are Jonny and Stuart planning to do? And if they find themselves thwarted are the lives of some of the Hollyoaks villagers in terrible danger?
Hollyoaks is shown weekdays on C4 at 6.30pm with the next episode following on E4
