Holby City spoilers: Ric Griffin takes a huge risk! Is he playing with fire?

Holby City medic Ric Griffin wants his brain tumour gone, so when neurosurgeon Max McGerry suggests an innovative - but risky - op, will he go for it?

After a scan revealed he has a brain tumour, Holby consultant Ric Griffin decided against having surgery as it would be too risky and he was certain he could manage his symptoms with medication. But, knowing drugs will end his career as a surgeon, Ric (Hugh Quarshie) now wants the tumour removed.

When neurosurgeon Max McGerry (Jo Martin) turns up at Holby with a patient, Ric’s aware of her reputation and is impressed. As Max reviews the scan of Ric’s tumour, she admits surgery to remove it could be fatal and suggests a less-invasive option – but it still carries risks. What will Ric decide?
