Aaron Dingle is on hand to support and comfort a devastated Diane Sugden in the wake of Victoria's brutal rape
Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) rallies to support a devastated Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) who has been rocked to her core by the recent rape of her step-daughter, Victoria.
The full and harrowing truth of what happened to Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) on the ‘Big Night Out’ finally emerged when it was discovered that Victoria had been brutally raped by a man called Lee.
Stranger Lee, who initially hit it off with Victoria on the drunken night of partying in Hotten, was seen going home with her but things soon took a very dark turn.
Lee pressured Victoria into letting him into her house and then showed no signs of leaving despite Victoria suggesting he call a cab.
As Victoria decided to get ready for bed upstairs, Lee suddenly appeared and made his move, brutally raping her and gagging her mouth to stifle her screams.
Ever since the attack Victoria, who was left traumatised and covered in bruises, has been too scared to open up about her terrifying ordeal.
Meanwhile her devastated step-mum Diane has been left in bits following her daughter’s terrible attack and can’t help blaming herself.
In tonight’s episode Aaron does his best to reassure Diane that she is a brilliant mum and always has been. He shows her a photo album that Diane put together for Victoria and her brother Robert with all the happy family memories the two of them have enjoyed.
Can Diane stop blaming herself so much and take some comfort from Aaron’s reassurances?
