EastEnders’ Ruby Allen is taken aback when she finds out from new love Max Branning that her best friend Stacey Fowler is unhappy about them dating. Determined to get to the bottom of Stacey’s reticence about the romance, Ruby invites Stacey and her hubby Martin Fowler out on a double date.
Things don’t get off to the best start and Ruby and Stacey struggle to remain civil to each other. Meanwhile, Martin finds it tough to be around Max considering his past with Stacey and he storms home.
Concerned by Stacey’s objection to Max dating Ruby, Martin asks Stacey if she still has feelings for Max. Although Stacey insists that he means nothing to her romantically, Martin tells Stacey he wants proof that she wants their marriage to work…
