EastEnders spoilers: Mel Owen comes up with a DESPERATE plan!

Mel Owen is under pressure to help her outlaw son, Honey Mitchell is under pressure, and Max Branning is reminded of his priorities.

Mel Owen is in a desperate state in EastEnders trying to look after her son Hunter Owen, who is hiding out from the law. She does her best to keep his spirits up and heads to work at the club.

On the way, Mel is left rattled when she realises that Hunter’s escape from the prison van is now front page news. An oblivious Sharon Mitchell comforts Mel about the situation.

But Ben Mitchell is seriously suspicious that Mel knows more than she’s letting on. Cornering Mel, Ben threatens her over what he saw the previous day.

Mel feels forced to give Ben what he wants to get rid of him. Realising that time is running out, Mel stuffs a bag with cash from the E20 safe. The police then arrive with some shocking news…

Jack Branning wants his cash and pressures dentist Adam Bateman over the sale of the flat. When Adam’s girlfriend Honey Mitchell points out to Jack that it might take time to get the mortgage sorted, Jack is unbending. Adam takes Honey out for lunch to cheer her up but Honey’s mood is not improved by seeing rival Habiba Ahmed.

While Honey is uncomfortable around Habiba, it’s just as bad for the young waitress, as she’s still upset that secret lover Adam hasn’t left Honey for her. Knowing how secrets can eat away at you, Habiba encourages her gay sister Iqra to come out. Will Iqra agree?

Max Branning is finding having a younger girlfriend exhausting as he tries to keep up with Ruby Allen’s partying. When he falls asleep while he’s looking after granddaughter Abi Branning, he’s given a reminder of his priorities.
