There's BIG drama going on at local Letherbridge hangout The Icon on Doctors... and Ruhma Carter is going to get to the bottom of it!
A whole lot of drama and romance has happened at The Icon over the years. But on today’s episode of Doctors (1:45pm on BBC One, see our TV Guide for full listings), surgery midwife Ruhma Carter (played by Bharti Patel) finds out there’s some BIG behind-the-scenes problems at the bar.
As bossy boots surgery receptionist Karen Hollins (Jan Pearson) continues to drive everyone mad with her ArtFest video project, fellow receptionist Valerie Pitman (Sarah Moyle) decides to escape down to the Icon with Ruhma at lunchtime.
Unfortunately, the bar is in chaos and the rude, obnoxious manager Finn Pendle (David O’Reilly) is proving very bad for business!
But when Ruhma finally gets Finn to calm down and explain what’s going on, it’s clear things are looking very bad for the future of the Icon…
Elsewhere in Letherbridge, policeman Rob Hollins (Chris Walker) continues to keep his daughter Imogen’s (Charlie Clemmow) secret, that she could have breast cancer.
As Imogen nervously awaits her appointment with a specialist consultant later in the week to find out for sure, Rob feels guilty keeping things from wife, Karen.
But is Imogen ready to share her life-changing news with her mum, who is already ridiculously stressed-out over the ArtFest project?
Meanwhile, Zara Carmichael (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh) is discussing the ArtFest with her young son, Joe, whose school is playing a part in it.
But the truth behind Joe’s family painting hits close to home for Zara, when Joe appears on camera and reveals the REAL and emotional story behind his picture…
ALSO, Dr Daniel Granger (Matthew Chambers) has his hands full with two stand-up comedians, Mark Barrows (Nicholas Ashbury) and Greg Stark (Graeme Rooney), whose strained relationship has reached breaking point and is impacting on their health…
Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One
