Could the unfortunate peanut incident at The Icon Bar mean BIG trouble for Al Haskey and Jimmi Clay's new business venture on Doctors?
Just when new business partners Al Haskey (played by Ian Midlane) and Jimmi Clay (Adrian Lewis Morgan) have got the Icon Bar up and running again on Doctors (1:45pm on BBC One, see our TV Guide for full listings), a SCANDAL threatens to sink ’em!
In the aftermath of the medical emergency at the Icon, when Karen Hollins’s (Jan Pearson) new foster child Martha Rose (Lilian Hardy) had an allergic reaction to some peanuts, Jimmi and Al are both worried about the negative reviews online and the effect the incident could have on their new business.
Meanwhile, a worried Karen visits Martha in hospital and tries to get to the bottom of why there was a packet of peanuts among Martha’s belongings, since she has a severe nut allergy.
Will Martha confess to what’s been going on? And when a Child Mental Health Worker arrives on the scene, could this mean Martha’s foster placement with Karen and Rob is now in jeopardy?
Elsewhere, Daniel Granger (Matthew Chambers) and his ex, Zara Carmichael (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh) are not squabbling for a change, as they discuss their interview questions for the surgery’s potential new practice manager.
But how will Daniel react when Zara asks him if he’s happy for her to take their young son Joe to visit her new fella Adam Regan (Edward MacLiam) in Rome for the weekend?
ALSO, Sid Vere (Ashley Rice) becomes suspicious while investigating an accident in the workplace where employee Lara Godstone (Lucy Anderson) fell down some stairs.
When Sid starts to collect the facts, he discovers a powder substance in Lara’s handbag.
But what is the powder? And WHO gave it to Lara?
Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One
