The planet’s foremost festival celebrating plants, gardens and their designers returns for 2019
Expect feverish excitement among the perennials at the 2019 RHS Chelsea Flower Show as Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, reveals her green-fingered skills in one of the prestigious show gardens.
Making her design debut, the Duchess has co-created the ‘Back to Nature Garden’, which the likes of Monty Don, Sophie Raworth and Carol Klein will be oohing and aahing over during a week-long visit to the flower show.
“It’s such an honour having the Duchess involved,” Gardeners’ World expert Carol Klein told TV Times.
Carol is excited that the Duchess is going to be a part of this quintessentially British flower show.
“The Royal Family is so popular and has always had strong associations with Chelsea, so it’s a real coup.
“I’ve no idea how green-fingered she is,” she laughs. “We’ll find out!”
Along with the Duchess upping the glamour stakes, the event will showcase the latest designs and plants from around the globe.
