Deniseplays Alison Slater, the mother of transgender Kyle Slater – and the other wife of Stacey Branning’s dad, Brian.
Our first pictures show Alison visits her son, played by transgender actor Riley Carter Millington, for the first time since his transition from Sarah to Kyle.
And from the look of these shots, Alison and Kyle’s meeting doesn’t look like it’s a happy reunion.

Kyle was born Sarah Slater, but life is still a struggle despite his transition. He aspires to be a renowned chef and started out running the kitchen in his mother’s Blackpool B&B.
Alison is struggling to accept her son’s choice and we reckon there’s going to be big drama when the pair come face to face.
Can Kyle convince his mum that she hasn’t lost a daughter, she’s gained a son?

Since moving to Walford, Kyle has found a sympathetic ear in half-sister Stacey Branning, played by Lacey Turner.
But he has had no acceptance from Stacey’s mum Jean (Gillian Wright), who knew her husband had another family but had never met any of them until Kyle turned up.
Can you imagine the scene when Jean meets Alison? We have no details of that but we reckon it will happen – and soon.

Denise, 57, is no stranger to soap having played Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street from 1997-2000.
Talking about her role in Enders, the former Loose Women panellist said: “I’m thrilled to be part of such an iconic show. I have friends in the cast and can’t wait to start. It’s a short stint but such a powerful role and I’m thrilled to be taking it on.”
Denise has released her debut novel, If They Could See Me Now. She recently tweeted a photo in which she was seen wearing a bikini.
