Mitch needs someone to talk to and luckily Mick is there for him
Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) provides a shoulder to cry on for an emotional Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) in tonight’s EastEnders.
Mitch has been struggling to cope since finding Dinah dead after she tragically took her own life in harrowing scenes recently.
He’s been left reeling by the discovery and his own mental health has suffered. Mitch has also had to go through the heartbreak of telling little Bailey (Kara-Leah Fernandes, who’s won widespread praise for her performance as the schoolgirl) the tragic truth of what happened to her mum.
But, in EastEnders this evening, he finds someone to talk to in Mick.
Mick is hoping to enjoy a romantic evening with Linda (Kellie Bright) but then he sees how drunk and emotional Mitch is getting.
The pub landlord pulls a stool up close to Mitch and lets him pour out his heart as Mitch talks about everything that’s happened recently.
While hoping to be alone with Linda, Mick realises that Mitch needs someone to look after him.
Mick and Linda then help Mitch to sober up. Mitch is then touched when the Carters say that it would be best if he stays over the night. It seems they’re the perfect friends in his time of crisis.
Also in EastEnders this evening Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) tries to do a spot of snooping on Jack’s laptop before Max is on to her. But, let’s just say, thinks don’t quite go to plan for Mel…
EastEnders continues on BBC1 tonight at 8pm
